Kids Scrapbook Starter
Photos stuck in your phone? Release them and get creative!
These young adults will learn how to create their own memory scrapbook with techniques such as:
- Corner rounding
- Matting
- Inking
- Cropping
- Journaling
- Embelishing
- And more!
Relive some summer memories and fun times with friends and family. Whether it was vacations, hangouts with friends, or parties, any memories that bring a smile to their face qualify!
What to Bring:
- Print at least 15 (or more) photos from the summer of 2024.
- Walgreens and CVS both provide online photo uploading, with photos ready within a few hours for approximately $0.20 - $0.40 each, depending on sales.
Photo Themes:
- All photos from one event or activity: (e.g., camp or a Fourth of July family BBQ)
- Different photos from the whole summer: Highlight various moments throughout the summer.
- Vacation recap: Photos from a vacation.
- Sports competition: Capture memories from sports events.
- Memorabilia: If you have any corresponding memorabilia, please send it along. Ideas include plane ticket stubs, water park bracelets, maps of parks, brochures from camps. These add layers and textures to their pages!
Optional:
- Specific themed stickers: We will provide stickers, bling, and paper for decoration. However, if you visited a specific city, Michael’s and Hobby Lobby have specific stickers that your child may want to buy and bring with them.
Items Provided:
- 7 x 7 Inch Hardcover Kraft Blank Page DIY Scrapbook Photo Album (20 pages)
- Small supply kit to keep to finish any journaling and pages.
- Juice, water, snack
- Music
Supplies for use:
- Assorted decorative papers and cardstock
- Stickers and embellishments
- Glue sticks and adhesive tapes
- Scissors (including decorative edge scissors)
- Markers, pens, and colored pencils
- Corner rounders and paper punches
- Inking pads and stamps
- Journaling prompts and ideas
- Embellishments
Recommended Ages:
- Recommended ages 12+
(This class is aimed at older kids through college!)
